The working method of ChasquiNet is to develop strategic alliances and provide connectivity and access solutions to the urban marginal sector. There fore we facilitate that the commercial sector together with the social sector develop strategies to solve connectivity problems in rural areas. Similarly we are developing alliances globally to solve connectivity problems in rural areas. GKP  Global KNowledge Partnership –GKP is the leading international organization dedicated to harness the potencial of information and communication Technologies (ICTs) for equitable and sustainable development.GKP facilitates the exchange of knowledge and building multisector effective alliances harnessing ICTs to generate practical and innovative solutions to development problems and to create opportunities for growth and the expansion at the benefits of the ICTs initiatives.Acting on a global network, members and allies of GKP who are professionals working at the bases as well as the policies makers, including government organizations, companies, civil society, academies and NGOs, all work in promoting the importance to share knowledge in ICT for development. Now with aproximatley 100 member organizations in more than 40 countries covering all continents.
ChasquiNet is member of GKP and regional coordination for LAC.
VIRTUAL SCHOOL MANIZALES, COLOMBIA  Virtual School is a project based in the city of Manizales, Colombia. It is an option for improving the education of rural schools in the Department of Caldas, to reduce the large differences existing in urban-rural development in Colombia. The computer and Internet are used as tools to enrich the teaching-learning process, integrated efficiently to every day of school. Teachers link the Information and Communication Technologies at different knowledge areas, integrating the use of technological tools to permanent work in class.Virtual School is the friend of “Escuelas Inter@activas”. This Colombian project is the main partner for his pedagogical philosophy which we share in Ecuador. This wonderful project on the hands of people like Beatriz, Luzma, Alexander and doctor Pablo has given a clear light to the path of “Escuelas Interactivas” and therefore we will be eternally grateful.
